hi all,
im thinking of going for some borbet alloys. 16x9's, and a 60 40 drop.
are these going to go straight on or would i be better getting 8 inch wide.
i really dont wont to have to mod the arches in any way.
any help or advise is mostly appreciated.
thanks guys n girls

I had a a set of 9x16 under my 60/40 drop the other night and while they didnt fit right due to the offset being wrong.... you will have to roll the rear arches. The arch came right down to the top of the stretched tyre with only a couple of mill of room. Any bump and you'll be scrubbing big time. I dont imagine arch rolling is too expensive though.
9's look sooooo much better than 8's! Get the 9's and enquire about getting the arches rolled!

To get 9's to fit roll all 4 arches and make the car rock hard using Adjustable shocks and bump stops

You need 16x9 et15 with at least a 5mm spacer in the front just to clear
the strut housings, the rears go right on but you may want to run
a 10mm spacer to even out the track, tires should be 215/40/16.
The rear arches will need to be rolled flat which is not a big deal and the front can be left untouched.

You should be fine with no spacers in the rear, rolling is a simpleackerley wrote:The rear arches will need to be rolled flat which is not a big deal

procedure if you have a fender roller, most bodyshops can do it,
I was charged $40usd per arch. You can do it yourself by renting the tool or you can do it the ghetto way with a wooden baseball bat.
