I take offense at that japcrap remark. (Im japanese)

Besides, a TT RB engine can put out some serious numbers without much modification. I say go for it!

im sure neil meant it in a light hearted way and having owned a toyota id agree with him.the cars of old tended to be a bit flimsy and prone to rusting very quickly, although it was very reliable running wise winkeye

I wasnt really angry at it. Thanks for apologizing. Im not that easily offended, just didnt know if you were serious about it. Its hard to tell tone via text.

I would agree if he wanted to throw some civic engine in there but an RB20DE(T/TT) is a really really good engine and I think it would be balanced in an E30 seeing as its also a 6cyl. Ive seen SR20s put in an E30 but I think that throws off the weight ratio. As far as rust goes, ive seen some really bad E30s too :)

better off looking for either a 2.5TT engine from a Soarer (1jz) or the 2jz 3.0 TT lump out of a supra, much more relaible and easier to get more power from and remain more reliable.

manual boxes on the toyotas are rare though.

a supra 3.0 tt engine was also one of my thoughts for my previous project but was talked out of it due to nightmare electrics :?
