hi all i am pretty new to e30's as you can all see , i have a 1986 318i . I love the car and the shell is really in good nic ..
So thats why i am here i am thinking now a engone swop is the way to go i was think just put in the 325i engine but i just want to know what i will need for this and how hard it is .. OR if anyone knows anything else witch is not to hard to put in and easly found please let me know ..

If you want an easy swap M30, can be done in a weekend if you have all the parts to hand and a helper. Almost zero wiring mods (my engine had already been in an E30 so no wiring mods for me!)
Having said that, if I had my time again I would go for an S50, not a huge amount of work involved but more expensive due to the exhaust manifold. I am currently trying to secure a 'friend of a friends' recently crashed M3 to start getting parts for another swap. Having driven my 335 for a month I feel the need for more power!

You say that winx, but my wiring took me 10hrs on my s50.. Ok, one of the more time consuming jobs, but it all adds up!
