They've been there for months ;)

Anyways, it's good that there're V8 mounts available, makes things a lot easier.

not really . the mounts are east to make . if someone was to sell exhaust manifolds then it would be an easier swap as thats the biggest pain in the ass

There is a solution for the manifolds. Still needs a bit of tinkering on the downpipe bit, but the manifold part itself fits straight on...
E39 ones! (Before anybody asks, the e39 m5 have the same shape as the e34 ones but a different bore)

And I'm kicking myself, because I bought the only set I could find in England from FAB just to realised when I got them that I once again forgot that my car was lhd... And obviously the starter/steering problem is reversed. As if relocating the starter motor hadn't been enough of a lesson... Why can't you sit on the correct side of your flippin' cars???
And FAB charge you 25% if you return them their stuff
I'll have to find a minute to stick them on ebay

Concerning the 300mm.de, I don't like them that much. It's possible to fit the engine as close to the subframe and as far back as it goes (starter and heater hoses to bulkhead clearance) without spacing the subframe, even with a 6 speed 'box, but not with that design.

What the guys in germany say about it, is that as long as you stick with an e30 suspension setup, it's fine. (no e36 m3 to get 5x120 on the front, or you get a horribly light steering)

My problem with it was more that I am hoping to get the car road legal in a country where wheels or exhausts can be a problem on their own. Let alone an engine swap. And a spaced subframe would be a no-no straight away. Mind, the subframe has been "customised" a fair bit...

If you have E30M3 front suspension you can get roll centre compensators to fix it (spacers that go at the bottom of the struts to lower the ball joints)...

As for using the E36 M3 stuff, if you choose the right parts you get the same geometry as the E30M3 stuff (but obviously can't add the roll centre spacers). That is: Evo hubs, TCA's, Eccentric bushes and adjustable topmounts if you want to be fancy. The light steering comes from close to 0 camber and around 7 degrees of castor when using the 3.0 litre M3 stuff and non evo TCA's.

I looked into it... lol
