Yes.. Ports are too big tbh, but it makes a nice noise, and pulls well to the rev limitE30BeemerLad wrote:Are you using your S50 mani on your M50 dude?
It will need a competent fabricator to do the work..

The problems with the Golf have cleaned me out a bit. Just got to get the other front suspension bits ordered now. It's Michelle's birthday next week, reckon she'll mind it I buy myself car parts instead of a present for her?

I think it's generic for most women! It has to be expensive and they have to be able to wear it - otherwise they won't be happy!Gortour wrote:Wouldn't work on my missus...

The E36 rack conversion is a piece of cake but it is really worth it. I re-routed the standard pipes so it cost next to nothingE30BeemerLad wrote:OK will take a rain check on the calipers (after checking them over). Can't be fagged with the rack at the moment to be honest.
The springs have arrived this morning, got sent direct from Germany, they match the ARB nicely. The underside of the car is certainly looking a lot better than the top side

This is the work of a guy from derby way I think, you can see the pipes have still had to be re-routed to miss the rack/cross member, you cannot bolt on a manifold/frontpipes without cutting/welding, no matter how much you faff about with the steering jointDaf318is wrote:Just been looking through some old pictures I had saved from when I was doing my car and found this. Think the picture is from a fellow zoner but it looks suspiciously like your steering UJ link and an unmolested M52 manifold!

Not got the old inserts out yet, off to buy some stilsonsBob_S wrote:Lee, what's it doing in the box? it's no good in there ;)

If your talking about the s50 one, then you either had a big hammer or severe rot.baptie0 wrote:hi lee
why do people seem to think that the manifold needs to be modified? this exact part was on my car for roughly 2000 miles with no problem.
if you are still having bother my advice is to remove o/s engine mounting and arm.
unbolt n/s mounting, jack the engine up a bit, then juggle the 2 manifolds into position, they do not go 1 at a time. also when tightening the nuts i used a swan neck 11mm spanner which i bent a bit to clear the primary tubes. any problems give me a call
