I trust you're going to relieve that sharp sticky-out length of steel that could gouge a passenger's leg?

ive also got the clutch on order hes going to get bk to me this coming week and dimentions and price
but he recommended a twin plate organic which will still keep a nice pedal feel yet hold up to about 6-700 ft lbs or torque im expecting this to be quite pricey

as I can't do much more with the brake servo side as I'm still waiting for parts I decided to start on the engine bay tidy it up a little so I started on the bulk head blower cover thingy basically just stripped the sound deadening off it as it's going to be all painted

Did you sort the trailing arm to filler pipe issue? How? :D

erm not to sure yet as altho its got all the trailing arms bk on the car isnt bk on the ground yet but i did have a little look and what ive done is turned the hose around so the hump is up in the air

not sure if it will work or not was just playing around what i might do is make a hard line to the tank and just use a very small rubber coupling on the tank inlet

ill toy around with that when i get round to it :)

So you think there is a reasonably easy solution then? I haven't looked at mine yet but was thinking about cutting it off but if you sort it I 'll try and keep them on. :D

Thu Mar 20, 2014 8:27 pm

so my master cylinder finally turned up today after 2 weeks of waiting
its from a vw sharan 1'' bore which should work well with my 4 pots and is quite stumpy too

Image
Image
Image
Image

as my feeds from the reservoirs are femal threads ive had to slight adapt them i got these which are from a 1960s beetle

Image

then these to adapt the female part to the plastic bits

Image
Image

which will then look some thing like this

Image
Image

just have to plumb it all in and thats then the brakes all sorted just in the process of refitting the glovebox bk in too as it wont fit properly in front of the servo now so ive had to remake a new hinge system and relocate it

another job ticked of the list

to a Clio servo yes near enough not 100% sure on the e30 servo mind
the only thing needed is the tube that the adjustable rod goes up needs chopping down a little so it doesn't bottom out in the servo but then that leaves a gap so a 2mm spacer is needed between the master and servo I'm yet to make that

only other thing is mine outputs on the master are m12 were as bmw is m10
