No pics/vids yet - I still need to do a few bits on it. Ordered a 14" electric pull fan for it today and some Mikalor type hose clips for all the intercooler pipe/hose connections.
Still haven't got any washer jets for it, the H36 has the perfect type but I can't find them anywhere. I'm thinking of washer jets fitted to the wipers - any one got any suggestions - I don't want a comedy bodge involving cable ties etc.
Also need to get the tacho working, it worked briefly but is now dead, I think the 5v-12v signal booster I made is at fault, need another transistor from Maplin.
PAS pipes need to be done but I don't have a local specialist who I can just trailer the car to, and I can't MOT it before the PAS works. I suppose I could fit my spare manual rack briefly for the MOT, then refit the E46 rack and take it to the Hydraulics place. Bit of a pain though.
Need an oil catch tank which is nice quality, so much tat on ebay!
Need an exhaust system and heatshield for the passenger side bulkhead/floorpan. I'm thinking Rivnuts could be good for the heatshield. I've been quoted £450+ vat for a full stainless system with 1 box and a flexi section to protect the turbo when the exhaust twats something.
Need a grommet for the gear shift hole in the tunnel, the standard E30 one is too chunky. Perhaps I should just grind the hole bigger?
I want a nice BOV which can be recirculated, venting to atmosphere sounds so utterly ghey.
Still need to buy a remote bias adjuster for the pedal box.
Once MOT'd it's being fully aligned and corner weighted and that will be that.
Santa Pod on the 20th would be nice, Nurburgring on 17th-20th October is it's first proper test. Wish me luck!
