there was a guy on here who did a 2.7 turbo, i believe Ant suggested that it was a bad idea doing a 2.7 turbo not to sure your probally best giving Ant a ring and speaking to him about these kind of things.

blingsta had a 2.7 turbo but had problems because he was running pretty hih compression.

With a low compression engine then 2.7 would be a sweet thing to turbo.

I have 3 2.7 turbo projects in the workshop, the CR is the key to this conversion.

only ill advised on ETA cranks due to the weak cast iron nature and long stroke, TD or M52 cranks are stronger than the B25 unit so not an issue, all the converted engines I have built are riunning the TD crank

happy to field a few phone calls on this if you want BTW.

Blingsta was 10.4:1 CR + turbo , hance the Headgasket going into orbit once the boost climed above 8 psi.

eta block, rods, crank + 325i pistons, head = low comp IIRC ? ~8-8.5 or something

Is a 2.8 crank available in upsidedown land?Be stronger than the eta item, would eta pistons/2.8 crank give a useful starting point?
