those are the basics yes. but best is if you look for a super eta (129hp) and combine it with a 325i cilinderhead, sharper camshaft and 6-branch.
you can use the other parts of your 320i, except for the injectors, ecu and wiring harnass. those have to be 325i.

offcourse, a 320i isn't capable of controling all that power (aprox. 200hp) so you have to switch your diff and brakes (disc instead of drum at the rear. this will also require another handbrake cable)

so that is all the stuff you will need.

if you need to search for all of these parts, count on +- £1600 for the parts only.
so maybe it is cheaper to find yourself a nice 325i and upgrade that one. with a chip, diesel crank, sharper camshaft and 6-branch u can gaine about 20 hp. so it comes to 190hp. which is quite nice.
greetz.

hey,

my 2.7 should be finished by the end of the week. we still have to weld the exhaust.

once it's finished i'll post pics of parts and everything so you can get an idea of what you need.

fit a 325i head to the eta bottom end, people say it doesn't work but it will. And will be alot better than with a 320 head, if your on a budget

he's right, but you won't gain a lot of hp. but you'll have more torque.

at the end of the day you find out that is a waste of money and time I did the 2.7 but it is cheeper to find an m50 and put it in. In ebay I see a lot of m50. On the german site you find the conversion and the driving impression go to
http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfis ... _en&intl=1
last week I drove an e30 with an s50 (321 bhp) You can't believe it the way it pulls The m50 is ages away from the m20

M50 better? yes. M50 cheaper/easier? i doubt it. have you actually done an m50 swap?

not yet, but from ebay I see prices around 450 for the the engine, treehouse racing sells the Wiring Harness ADapter for 399 dollars, then you need oil sump. I dont believe that for an m50 you need more than 1500
