You are assuming UK values. I'm in Ireland. The import duty on a 318i convertible is around €1200 euro. I had a very happy customer that paid my import duty for me as I had just secured a settlement of €250,000 for him.griff87 wrote:I know its minty mint but 5 bags for a 1.8
Well said, a mint cab, in original condition will fetch strong money. Engine size is not a major aspect which will affect its value.lukescott wrote:You are assuming UK values. I'm in Ireland. . The price is not important.... the A1 condition and perfect leather is what counts. I did not want a 120,000 miles example with worn cloth seats I wanted a timewarp toy.

should be for 5kSLIMADI wrote:Looks very nice and clean.

The whole engine size myth really does not apply to convertibles. I have made the point several times before that convertibles are for gentle driving on good days. They were never meant to be pushed hard. They rattle & shake like skeletons having a wank in a tin box if you drive them hard. I like to waft along so people can see the condition of the carbmwsport wrote:Very nice fella, even though the engine ain't the most powerful it certainly looks like it's got a good few choice options. Yeah, its nice to have some power but at end of the day a nice e30 is a nice e30 regardless of engine size imho.As we all know, they are getting hard to find these days!lukescott wrote:The whole engine size myth really does not apply to convertibles. its not new. its a year old.lukescott wrote:It's also got a brand new tech 2 steering wheel. Santa gave it to me last year.oomz1975 wrote:Nice car, lets see more interior shots

I'm with you Luke. As a youngster in the '80's I seriously wanted a cab, but they were only for the very rich and famous at the time. Now I can afford my 30k mile 325i cab, and its my toy. Just looking at it is enough, driving it is a bonus! It's a garage king!lukescott wrote:No seized brakes here. The car lives in a dry warm garage but is driven every weekend if its dry. And I use it with the roof down. Nothing like a cold winters day in a convertible with the heat blowing from the dash.
@ hazd31......... I'm at that lovely age in my life where I can afford toys. Whether I use it or not is academic. Its an appreciating asset. I paid £5,000 sterling for it but have been offered €9,000 euro for it here.

First dibs - you heard it here first!lukescott wrote:Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I would really like to keep the car in mint condition. In the longer term I hope another like minded person will get it and keep it like I have.

Cool Luke, similar Story! We're still living in the 80's! Just dusting down the 325 is a pleasure, can't believe its mine, even though todays values actually make it "small change" in a way!I lived in spain in 1990. Near Puerto Banus in the hills is a little town called Benahavis. I was pushing my eldest daughter in her buggy when I saw an E30 convertible parked with the roof down. Like you I felt that only the rich & famous could have one. Now I have my E30 and a home in spain
. There are some benefits to being 48.

Thanks lennerd. I intend to leave her standard as she is. Although I think that front spot lights will go on to replace the blanks. There was a complete tech 2 body kit for sale here in Ireland recently in perfect condition. It sold for near €600. I was advised against putting it on my car as she was so perfect.Lennerd320i wrote:Nice cab! Keep her in that state please!
