wow that must have been fun! hahaSpeedtouch wrote:I took my 1988 E34 535iSE up to an indicated 147 mph on a private runway shortly before discovering that one of the engine mounts wasn't actually attached to the engine!

i swear on my life i was just about to say "It will be when i get the ITB's on and a 6 branch manifold!"Rav335uk wrote:It will be if he beats me to the ITB conversion

felt so proud, even tried it with a E30 325i and got put in my place..

Nice one lee thanx!leeparkes wrote:Ive used M20 mounts from day one and never had a problem, apart from the time i had a test with landrover mounts but they were cheap and nasty type.
Stick with M20 ones or uprate to the burton ones (same dimensions as M20) oh and as Rav says keep the metal cups.
Change the rack now, will be much easier. Good progress

Thank fuck for that! I was telling my dad id rather get a custom exhaust made up then smash the car in like thatleeparkes wrote:No mateThats some caveman business
No idea why the tunnel is cut either unless the wrong linkage was used, you need E30 325i.
Cracking progress btw and i love dressing an engine up to make look nice
Which exhaust manifold you got for it?

Thank you mate! I was thinking the same thing and i just kept thinking nooo way was i taking a hammer to any part of this car! Loljimbom30cab wrote:agree with Lee, you should not need to touch the bulkhead, it's a tight fit but there is enough room. Also the 325i linkage fits perfect in the right place exactly.
Great updates, got to love an M30 build, proper hero's chariot !!
Keep the pics coming, if you need any advice drop me a PM

so yet again where the hell did this manifold come from?!leeparkes wrote:That looks nothing like mine! lmao![]()
No, seriously, thats probably why the bulkhead got smashed in to fit that manifold, its best to use E34 manifolds and downpipes that 'sleeve' into an E30 325i system perfectly.![]()
Look like this....
