Today I went out to get some more off the breaker but didnt really have anything to get until I get underneath it, usually I tip them on thir side and strip them that way but I'm waiting for my stands from Matt
Anyway, had a little nosey at the turd a bit more today, wasnt sure what to be getting on with so though I would inspect the front arches which turned out to be just the one arch today... Will get onto the other tomorrow.
The plan was to check the plastic lining over mainly as I have another set but with a few cracks in so it was the better of the 2 I was after... They are caked in underseal so need to clean then up...
First thing was a few pictures...
This is the rear Passenger side arch at the front, had a proper poke at it and it didnt go through so thats good news, gonna grind it back and check it tomorrow.
Back to the front I thought I would take the disc off to clean the recently replaced backs up a little
So they'll be transfered to the other struts when finished
Had to beat the crap out of a torx bit to get it to undo the disc, need to put fresh in when I get some new discs for these struts.
Need some new pads too...
Arch time...
There was a odd damp patch which I assumed was a fat hole...
It was proving difficult to get to the scabby bits I could see so removed the bumper & wing...
Wing is a pattern part and looks was only just bought before I got the car... I do have a pair of non rusty prefacelift wings I could put on her though which are genuine but we'll see...
The front bumper does has some scabs inside so gonna sort that tomorrow. The other wing and the valnce is coming off tomorrow though too.
Bit of grinding up
Poked through here...
But wasnt all that bad, the underneath needs looking at some though
It wouldnt poke through though so will look properly tomorrow.
A bit more stabbing and the screw driver went through...
Right in the corner at the top, so now need to gring it back some and get this sorted!

Which means dash out, loom out... So debating on whther to wait until after show seaon etc and then proper strip it down after that...
Treated up the bare metal I grinded back and primered it for now. Only had white
Wheel back on and its sitting like this now
Tomorrow should be fun finding more holes
Even though its depressing to find, i'm bloody enjoying poking holes in it

Nothing thats too expensive to fix, just time consuming.
Staley rang me and has a welder so thats always good news as I dont have one

But not sure if I fancy trying to rip the dash out this year to find it needs a fair old amount of work and then not get it back on the road this year
UNLESS, I get another chromie for the road
