It is wider, hence the need to run e36 offset wheels..FMH wrote:When you using the e30/e36 mix and match parts on the front, it just helps to re-centre the wheel, the track is the same as a normal e30 set up, its not any wider.bss325i wrote:I know they are wider than the standard E30 suff but are thy wider than the hybrid combo of E30/E36 parts Shaz has used?FMH wrote: Nope, rears are 12mm wider.
So yes, the rears are still 12mm wider.

Thee options basically;si- wrote:what mounts of you guys all used???
-Use standard mounts and weld supports to frame rails.
-Buy mounts from www.300mm.de and use 540 rubber mounts & stock E30 mounting position on subframe. This is what i use.
-Fabricate your own mounts and use standard E30 mounting positions on subframe.

hoist is no problem the cost of the mounts off the shelf is....... 300mm.de works out at about 900 quid form what i can gather!!!!oze30 wrote:Si- For the grief it is making them up, just fork out for the proper mounts. Unless you have access to a hoist or like fitting and removing engines often.
jonsku - have you got any pictures of your mounts or have any of the option's you detailed above, im having trouble navigating and finding what i want on e30de my lack of german and google's literal translation confuses me which aint to hard
I meant 2/4 post hoist. You'll need to get under there and tack stuff together. Exhaust wise, it's damn tight in there and you'll need some modifying of original manifolds (not pretty) or get an exhaust shop to fab it up. Just make sure you get new gaskets as it's a pain (read almost imposible) to get to the manifold bolts once it's in.
