How do I tell what box it is? It came from an early 325i sport but I can't see any markings on the case :(

If you bung it in first and rotate the output b one revolution whilst counting the number of times the input turns.

It should come out at 3.81 i.e. just under 4 turns. Think the non-sport 'box turns a significant amount more than this so it's a reasonably good method of checking.

No doubt someone will come up with an actual good wat though
