right, my central locking does the 2 doors, boot and petrol flap,
but every now and again ill press the alarm and the doors will stay locked. when it does this it wont unlock anything at all. so ill get in with the key. when i get to where im going i will arm the alarm and the door will probably stay unlocked so ill use the key again. but some random time later it will spring back into life and lock and unlock everything again.

it buzzes a bit when i press my alarm button like its trying to do something. but ive had it before where it doesnt do anything at all, no noise!
1st time this happend i took it out the wing (module thingy) pulled it all apart poked around a bit, got bored and put it all back and it worked. so next time it broke i cleaned EVERYTHING, all the contacts etc etc but it didnt do the job. so i left it and it decided to work on its own again.

im completely puzzled. im hoping its the module but i dont know what the symptoms should be if thats the case.
ALso i took it apart before and manually activated the relays with my pokey finger. this activated the lock/unlock system once but not the next time it happend. Grrr

im looking up to brian mooore i think? any help is much appreciated... firemen glad ive run out of matches lol

The Contacts in the drivers door pillar can cause the same problems........

ok i see its been said many of times!! i must learn to use the search button ;)

so what i understand is, i need to pull out the central locking module again, while this is out, i need to open the drivers door and pop out the electrical gromet type tube that runs from the pillar to the door, and find two wires coloured red and black. cut them and join them together on the pillar side.
so i do this in between the door and the pillar? or is it better to pull on the locking module and pull it out through the speaker hole?
thanks

pictures meant nothing to me lol
i attempted to pull that blocky thing
out the door pillar, no joy.
so i took out the module, followed the red/black wire to where it disapears towards the pillar. this was in one bundle all taped together. then the other bundle had the other red/black wire. i got a flat head screw driver and pokeyd the wires apart from the rest. cut them with my arabian sword i pulled from my belt. yelled ARRR! i joined them with a wire connector and now it all works everytime all the time. :D
1 down few to go...

cheers for the help brian.
ive taken a guess why that bloody wire goes into the door and back out. i think its just to keep all the wires together in a loom. if it went right from the battery to the module it would be on its own, that may be a risk to it being damaged.
ill spread the word tho. :)
thanks again
