Is it worth me having it welded up?
Never had experience of doing this or how its done,but my mate is a TIG fabricator by trade so it would be done well.
Good or bad idea?

it would be up until the point it goes bang into a load of pieces on da track!!! been there done that with cortinas. good for fields not so hot for grippy tarmacwelding for a trackday would be a hoot!
