Ignotion barrel and steering lock

Hi Guys,

So i have a problem with my ignition barrel, i cannot turn the key round in the barrel to get the steering lock off unless i play with the key and the steering wheel for a lomg time it finally turns in the barrel ? Do i need a new barrel ? Also ware can i get one from, i dont wang to gwt one from america or main dealler BMW

Where are you located as I think if you want the barrel cut to the key its dealer only, they don't cost that much as I had to replace one in my E36 years back.

Remove the barrel for a start.......
