Hey, looking to drop my car a bit as the arch gap right now is huge.
Currently on 14" bottletops but will be getting some 15"s pretty soon.
I've found some H&R springs (35mm lowering kit) for a decent price and my plan was to just install these and keep the stock shocks until they give out, but I'm wondering as the gap right now is so big is a 35mm drop really going to make much difference?
Will lowering by 35mm make any difference to the 4x4 arch ga

I was never good at maths.
I read that you are to expect some 'settling' so I guess what I'm asking is does 35mm actually equate to 35mm in the real world or is it more?

Cheers guys, I'll have to go for some new shocks too then and put the rim replacements on hold!

Combine your H&R springs that you've found with some Bilstein B4s, check out the front control arm bushes and rear subframe support bushes, and replace if necessary and you'll find out what you've been missing as regards E30 handling and ride quality.

sorry to hijack, but do you recommend the H&R with B4 or B6 Bilsteins? or is that application dependent?

I've found the H&R sport lowering springs plus front and rear Bilstein B4 shocks, all in for £264.
Does this sound like a good deal gents?
Labour will have to be on top of this of course, when I've collected more sheckles to have it done.
