I'm taking the carpet out of my car to clean it and check for any water leaks but I'm stuck on the accelerator pedal how does it come out, I don't wanna try and force it and break it

There is a metal slot on the floor and the plastic tangs on the bottom of the pedal push onto it.

Ok cheers so does it just pull up ? Or is it a slide to one side ?

Unclip the top and pull up, you may need someone to press the tangs in so they don't break.
