Hi all,

So I've managed to get myself a rare OEM phone with all accessories! However, I am unsure where to mount things ( I know some of you will say wherever I want, but I want it as close to stock as it can be)

My gut tells me that the speaker unit goes in the passenger footwell ( I'm assuming near the original kick panel speaker?). The microphone can run up one of the pillars ( again assume the one closest to the driver- in my case RH side.) the centre console is obvious so no need to ask for that!

These all go into a receiver of some sort that has an aerial (about 10 inch) which clicks into a mount. The million dollar question is, where do I mount this? There is enough cable to reach anywhere in the car ( so I would assume it's meant for the boot?

Once I know this I can look for power supplies nearby. ( I have 1x brown, 1x red, 1x yellow/ black stripe and 1x green) can anyone help clarify which is which. I'm expecting a 12v positive and a negative and maybe a remote to power on/ off when ignition off.

Any help would be great and any pictures/guide would be amazing!

Cheers
Martin

Bump.

Does anyone know of a parts catalogue that may show it or anything?

Two dealer guides to fitting 'phones in my collection. One of these has made it into the wiki 'retrofit guides', but the other seems to have gone AWOL on route.
They are both in German only, and at first sight don't offer that much info., but I've never translated them.
As I've said, one is in the wiki, and if you want the other, PM me an email address, and I'll send it over.
Your theory on the wiring colours is on the right track - brown will be earth, red will be permanent live and green will be ignition switched live.
Is the other wire yellow/black as you say, or black/yellow - these details are important?
If black/yellow it could be a connection to the starter signal. Prevention of interference being transmitted while starting??
