anyone know how easy it is to get to the wiper motor, its got a fault where the blades dont go back to rest when you switch them off,im guessing theres a limit switch on the side of the motor
Also the headlights work on dipped and main but you cant make them flash by pulling the stalk back to you
any ideas? i thought maybe the switch itself but dont want to just dive in there and pull it apart in case its a relay or something
thanks

Hi matttt!

welcome to the forum :D

wiper problems are a fairly common e30 issue and can be relatively easy to fix....

have a gander at this guide to give you an idea as to what could be causing the problem

Possible the relay has gone but unlikely as main beam works
more likely the contacts in the arm have worn , easy replacement

Too cold to go out into the workshop and check for sure, but IIRC, the headlamp flasher works by earthing the bottom end of the relay coil to a short brown wire that earths through one of the dip/flash switch fixing bolts. Check this is making contact OK.
You realise that the ignition has to be on for the headlamp flasher, don't you?
