Hey guys,

Just after some advice on the best way to remove the map light mirror loom. The wires go up into the actual roof by the looks of it, unlike the wiring for the sunroof and check control panel which can be visibly traced back to the main loom.

cheers

It runs down the passenger side A Pillar and plugs into the loom behind the speaker cover. With some gentle tugging winkeye You should be able to get it to give and come back by pulling the end plugged into the loom. Although I cant remember if its fixed in place down the A Trims... Might be worth moving the cover and just checking under those too

As Jim says, the looms run up the n/s pillar behind the trim, held in place by several clips.

I always thought that the overhead check panel wiring was part of the body loom...

removed the A-pillar trim and the wiring for the sun roof and check control is behind there. Map light mirror wiring however is no where to be seen!

Does it still have the original plug on the end of it? Might have been butchered and wired in elsewhere?

Blimey!

Have removed the panel that holds the sun visors, that should enable you to see where the swine runs.....

Or are you fitting a maplight mirror?

I'll take some photos tomorrow and upload them. Hopefully some light (no pun intended) will be shed upon the situation as to where the hell my wiring is hiding

Sounds like it may be a home made loom connected to one of the standard interior lights.
