Anyone what the standard exhaust manifolds on a 1990 325i engine were like? were they tubular or the normal cast iron crappy ones!? any pictures anywhere? also were the throttle bodies on a 325 any different to the ones on a 320? ive been told fitting 325 throttle bodies to a 320 makes a big difference to performance.... not sure whether i believe it!

325i come with normal cast iron manifold.

Do a search on the 325 / 320 throttle body conversions. Some people say the car feels much better, but someone? dynoed there car after the conversion and it was making less power than a stock 320... but they did not dyno the car before putting the 325 TB on it.

err. yeah sorry for double posting there, not sure how i did that...? thanks fo the info guys, and the picture (from the other post!) any idea how much some tubular maniflods for a 325i are worth, and whether they would fit the 2.0 litre engine? presumably id need the mid section and tail pipe too?

325 tb makes a definate difference i did it to mine and the car pulled so much better after also if you add a chip from ant you will greatly improve the drivability of any 320i

i have also just got a 6branch manifold but havent fitted it yet as im doing an engine change soon so will fit it then

i would def say do tb and get a chip and i think youll be pleased with the results

Won't you also need to grind out your inlet manifold to marry up to the bigger TB from the 325?
