Right then folks,

been thinking about wrapping my 6 branch manifold & system.

now I know i'm going to have to take the manifold off but i'd like to know is how hard/easy is it to wrap the manifold? I've never done it before so bear with me lol.

it's easy ,just keep it tight and buy extra metal ties as they don't send enough with the wrap.

you'll work it out as you go along,do one tube at a time and individually ending in a place you can continue from picking up the other tubes as you go if that makes sense

Cheers mick :)

already got some extra matel cable ties on order.

thankfully the manifold is a magnex 6 branch so shouldn't be to hard to do lol.

My old manifold dry wrapped, as said above it will smoke a lot once heated the first time and don,t breave the fumes either. Image. Oh yeah make sure you have enough wrap!

Is it worth doing this with a M52 manifold?

I didn't wet mine before I wrapped my old manifold, which could be why I thought it was a horrible job and had little splinters of the fibreglass stuff everywhere!!!!

When I did a manifold a few years ago I wet the wrap before use, it prevents the fibreglass strands from coming loose so quickly and easily meaning your skin will be less irritated.
In addition to that though, wear gloves & long sleeves to lessen the itchiness that follows :)
