320 cab exhaust

hi can anyone tell me if a coupe exhaust system will fit a converible please? as having night mare trying to find a cheap after market one for mine

I cant recommend enough to try and find even a second hand or knew original bmw exhaust,every after market centre boxs and back boxs etc have been so shit!!(theyv broke baffles etc) within two weeks!

BUt to answer your question...yes a coupe exhaust will fit,(obviously if its from a 2.l)...

As long as you match the year and engine type the exhausts are interchangeable - so an exhaust from a 1988 320i touring or saloon should go straight on a 1988 320i Convertible.

However you need to check whether yours is a 2 piece or 3 piece system - 2 piece ones are more commonly fitted to later cars and seem harder to find

mine a 1989 think its a 3 peace, ill have to find out.

2 or 3 piece is relevant, however equally important is the manifold connection - 3 bolt and 4 bolt with2 different sizes. Especially important if it is a 2 piece as this includes the connection to the manifold.
