I've just had a set of injectors refurbished by Injectortune and must say the service is excellent , sent on friday got them back wednesday , I've noticed that the injectors in my 1990 320i are Blue and the refurb ones are beige have i made a booboo? I can't find the thread i read but i'm sure the blue ones are 325 and beige 320 , just wonna make sure before i go head first into the job for the first time ,

I have a 1989 320i. I bought refurb injectors and the ones I bought were blue and my old ones were beige. The seller assured me that they would work and he was right.

I swapped the injectors myself. Took about 1 hour. A bit of fiddling around but its an easy job. See the instructions on e30 Wiki.

i did look at a few threads , did you keep the rail on and pull the lot out of the manifold , did you take the valve cover off?

yes, no.
This is what I did
1. unplug battery
2.clean around old injectors with carb cleaner so you don't have to do it later and risk gunk going down the holes
3. unplug fuel pressure reg, blue and back temp sens, plug under the manifold and breather hose.
4. remove injector electrics rail
5. remove 4 injector rail screws
6. use a bit of wood to gently lift up the fuel rail and all injectors with it. Move each side bit by bit.
7. slide the rail towards the front and remove the clips and injectors 1 by 1 as you go past cylinder 1.

Install is reverse, put oil on the seals.
