I've towed just about everything you can tow with my 325 and have never had a problem, the only thing I would complain about is having to change gear to much, the E30 gearbox isn't really designed for towing in my opinion, but as long as you don't mind changing gear to much, you won't get any problems.
As for your track car with LSD,this should make no difference,it's only auto box cars you shouldn't tow.

yeah towing with a dolly should be fine-wont do any damage

could also use a towing bar (Ԛ£30) instead and have 4 wheels on the ground...

Towing a car equipeed with an LSD is a big NO, by the time you get where you're going the clutch pack will be scrap in the diff dude

Please dont do it !

could put the rear wheels on the dolly and leave the steering lock on?
