I am getting a wierd buzzing noise from the underside of my car towards the rear. As far as I can tell it isn't the exhaust and it sounds mechanical.

Anyone experienced this?

Ta!

Its a 2 door 1991 316i

To check if its the pump, lift the base of the back seat up and start the car,if its noisy then its on its way out!

that'd make sense actually because it is actually noisier in the car than out (sorry for not mentioning)

fuel pumps expensive?

if it is the pump(common problem)then you should get one in the parts for sale section, expect £20ish for a good replacement!
