Hi there

My 1989 E30 325i Sport Coupe with AC is currently running an H&R Kit 60/40 kit which the dampers are failed and the car is too low:

I've decided on a B12 Pro Kit and I emailed Bilstein for help with which kit to buy, they suggested the two following kits saying pay attention to the axle loads, but I am still at a loss of which is the correct kit to go for please:

The 101 kit has 825kg front load and 905kg rear load.
The 165 kit has 865kg front load and 945kg rear load.

My car is very low on the H&R 60/40 kit, too low, especially at the front, so I'd like it to sit about 10-20mm higher in the front and 5-10mm higher in the rear. The ride is also a little harsh on the H&R kit but this I suspect is because the dampers are old and blown.

Any help picking which kit is ideal for my car please, again its a 1989 E30 325i Sport Coupe with Air Conditioning, Sunroof, electric windows, MANUAL.

Thank you in advance. :)

Ive spoken to Bilstein UK on several occasions over the years and came to the conclusion they are not interested in older cars, the staff seem to have no idea what they are talking about

Looking at the difference in weights its possible you are being offered a kit for a 2 door saloon, and a kit for a cabriolet/touring

Wiki has the usual axle loads :thumb:

TLDR: lower one for regular E30, higher one for iX and Cabrio (or if you find you want to lose your back teeth)
