Suspension doesn't as much need 'upgrading' as 'restoring'. Your 100,000+ mile dampers are little more than ornaments by now, and your suspension bushes would probably be more at home on a Ford Mondeo.
This has all been discussed on here many times, and the discussion usually veers towards Eibech or H&R -35mm springs, Bilstein B4 dampers all round, E30 M3 eccentric front control arm bushes, E46 cabriolet rear damper top mounts, Mondeo estate rear anti roll bar links for the front roll bar on the E30, and standard OEM rubber bushes for everything else, perhaps coupled with an E46 steering rack.

Brian, do you happen to have an ECP/Carpartsforless part number for the Lemforder E46 cabriolet rear shock mounts? The only Lemforder ones I can find for the E46 look nothing like rear top mounts :?

Looking at the Mondeo parts, does it matter what year the car is?
