Bit of a wierd one
I went to remove the gearbox from my knackered m20 today and it seperated about an inch and a half and wont budge anymore.

Anyone else had this issue?

Found the 6mm hex. headed bolt that faces forwards on the RH side?

My mate had the same problem and would not come off it even broke his mini jaws of life rig.

Is the engine and gearbox out of the car? If still in the car, try getting someone to pump the clutch pedal while you support the gearbox.

Its out the car.

I have it out as far as the teeth on the flywheel is cant be in by much .

Rust on the gearbox input shaft as it goes through the clutch plate if it 's been stood a while. You may need to get medieval with it. Long screwdriver through the clutch pushrod hole and give it a few good wallops.

Destroyed the clutch but got it off.
Was only after the flywheel so all good.
