I've been trying to locate and article/thread to test my HT leads resistance but been unsuccessful. Can anyone help me out? I have a 325i (1988). TIA

HT lead test has resulted in the following:

6.06K/ohms
5.58K/ohms
5.50K/ohms
5.51K/ohms
5.83K/ohms
5.75K/ohms

Coil lead tested bang on 2K/ohms. Have I found a fault Willnz? Sorry to sound like a dunce but I'm still new to this.

Thanks willnz. Will replace them all then. If I may borrow your expertise for one last question - do you think these values could explain flat spotting and general lack of oomph unless the throttle is floored?

TIA

So what should a good set measure, you say under 6K but how much under would brand new be for example? Should you test the resistance without removing the end caps from the leads?

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

Good question. Maybe someone with a brand new set could test them and post the results?

Thanks for the advice willnz but...
...injectors needing a clean
- done professionally
...connecting plugs like C191 needing cleaning to restore connectivity
- and C101 done
afm and tps contacts wearing out or dirty etc.
- AFM replaced and TPS cleaned

Throttle body also cleaned and new gasket, new breather hose, replaced ICV, throttle stop set - but still am unable to hold the revs at anything between idle and 1600rpm. So was hoping HT leads were the problem
