my 2.7 had a new eta crank in it when it was built and has 90k miles on it in a high state if tune and it hasnt broken yet and can spin up to 7k nicely. but i dont bother and just change at 6k max usually

I heard that the eta crank is safe up to 6200rpm continuous. Above that the crank can twist between the webs.

I usually change around 6000 as well.

as long as the crank and everything was balnced and tolerances were spot on when the engine was assembled i dont see a problem in revving way past 6k

Mine spins up to 7000 and I am convinced it will go past that.

Maybe its because Hartge forged there own crank.

Im sure M5Pilot will know!
