Hi guys wonder if you could help me........I have a 4 door 1991 E30.
My central locking has packed up by key & remote. I can unlock and lock all door manually so not the end of the world. I cannot however lock the drivers door, but I can unlock it. I have done the red/black wire trick - it did nothing for me.......what next?? Thanks

Pull out the locking ECU, and check (with a 12 volt bulb) whether there is power across the red/black and brown wires.

Locking ECU is mounted on a triangular metal plate, which is fixed to the inner sill by two self tapping screws. The heads of these screws are on the inner sill immediately below the centre of the speaker hole.
Unscrew the screws, pull out the small plastic plate under the speaker, and pull out the ECU by its wires, complete with the bracket.
