Which HT leads go where on distributor cap??
Moderator: martauto
Help anyone?? I have just brought a E30 325i sport for cheap because its miss-firing. previous owner said he done a service and changed the leads, plugs, dizzy car and rotor arm. since doing that its had a miss-fire. so was wondering if he has put leads on wrong on the dizzy cap. so can anyone tell me which lead goes to which bit on the cap??

This page might help you figure it out:
http://e30world.com/ignition/BMW-E30-di ... tor-change
In particular:
"You can always check for correct installation since the ignition firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 and terminals on the distributor cap have a label. That means that spark plug wire from cylinder 1 goes to the terminal cap labeled 1 (cylinders are numbered sequentially with cylinder number 1 being closest to the front of the car)."
Take a look at the pics too though.
