This is a heater which plugs into the M50 air box. Throw it away. The hoses connect to the bottom of the throttle body and they can be removed. Have a look at the "M50 manifold onto M52" thread mate for pics of my inlet manifold and the plumbing going to the throttle body mate
and this![]()
Connector for lambda sensor mate, I'd guess that engine was not running a lambda sensor, so won't have been running right (unless there is a lambda sensor in the exhaust manifold) - I would recommend you sort one mate. Speak to Steve (E30topless) as his was running without one and was gash until he sorted it.
what's the part on the left?
I think that is for the exhaust flap solenoid or to do with carbon canister crap, not needed as far as I know

Looks like some crude as hell resistor.. The fan setup seems errrm. Interesting. I'd chuck the wiring away and start again.

Nasty!

This regulates coolant to heat the throttle body, fook it off son.

Make sure you fit a lambda in this!

You can chop it out, just make sure you insulate the Red/White wire if you dont remove all of it

I have one here Mick with no bodgy wiring mate from mine. I you can have that when we weld the boss in and fit it. The pic you posted with the plug in the clip at the bottom of the block (inlet side) is where it plugs in.
I will start a list here of the bits you want off me

I dont think its a lightened flywheel Mick, the guy who originally done the conversion did a bit of sump shaving to make it fit.
