put the oil pressure light on lol :D .

well the oil chain was making a racket and i notice the oil light come on straight away so shut it down , i've had the cam tray covers off and no damage ..... sending the b30 down to Dan soon to strip it and inspect , rebuild replace where necessary no corners cut , with the oil pump upgrade i might not need to pull the engine out almost every spring
I thought it was standard to upgrade the oil pumps. Shame you had to find out the hard way
here comes the arsehole rich318i sad cunt

after putting the car away for the winter and driving it into the garage last November the b28 refuses to start ... sounds like i have fuel so a spark check is next ,

i'll have it taxed may 1st and running again with the 2.8 to get me mojo back and the b30 back in .

nowt like a 6 banger engine swap with a f00kin huge 6 speed box nailed to it to keep the e30 juices alive .

spanner rash ftw !

some more treats .

well it's been two full car seasons and i'm nearly into car season number 3 since my oil pump harmonic balancing failure ....... time to stop the rot and push things on .

as previously posted i've bought a a bionic drift spec oil pump shaft kit , hardened shaft and left hand thread , also sent a used set of injectors of to injectortune and had them all cleaned up ready to go in .
well to add to that i've decided to use the e36 m3 solid lightened flywheel weighing in at 5.4kgs and a sprung stage 1 e36 m3 clutch disc along with s50 clutch cover , the e30 m20 set up has been hit and miss and with the helix cover it's like a fookin stage 10 rally car spec so i'm going for sumit a bit smooother 8) .

the stroker donk was sent off down to Danthe's yesterday 15/2/2019 for him to do the fettling i;e pull apart and check everything, have the head fully overhauled , acid dipped block etc and fit the dbilas cams i bought ages ago .

i really want this engine to run like a swiss watch and Dan is the man for the job , looking forward to this year already :D

Any idea when Dan will get around to it or plans for it to be back on the road?

fitted a new centre bearing to the e36 328i prop i need to run a zf 5 speed [ had enough of the rattles from the 6 speed box on tick over ] , along with the prop i had to get new gear selectors so i was lucky to get both items from the same seller both parts just removed from 328i with the zf box .

test fitted the selectors on an e36 323i getrag box just see how short or notchy it is .
next is to liberate a good zf box from an e39 528i i have up the boneyard that seems nice and quiet .

Picked up my RG Alpenis reps today after having a double coat of ceramic coating . The brake dust should just fall off now with soapy water. Keeping them clean was a royal pita so I hope this stuff works or i just spunked £100 on promises and lies 🙈

Also dropped the prop off to be balanced up as it from two different cars £62 inc vat .

all the small things i'm having to buy changing to 5 speed are adding up . new slave cylinder, clutch release bearing, oil filter, fluids and some landrover defender gearbox mounts that i thought i'd try . these are solid rubber so should be ok with the oem engine mounts . If not i'll swap them out for e36 oem ones .

But on a positive note some more pics from Dan and my block is on the engine stand . 😁

the engine arrived on weds morning so while i was waiting for a few days i had a good check round the car and found the rear pads badly worn so ordered new ones and got some for the front brakes as they were looking low . apart from that i decided to re underseal and waxoil the undercarriage while the engine was out .... so with no further ado i set about it late last week washing the muck/dry dust off ready for underseal .

well the old 3.25 4 clutch lsd had to go as i found it too short with the 5 speed box and after lot's of pondering and research i could get a 2.93 e36 lsd to work in an e30 casing but not possible to just swap crown wheel and pinion .

taking all this on board i purchased a complete e36 2.93 lsd, an e30 medium case diff empty case with e30 back plate then sent the lot to Danthe who built this for me >>>

after some lsd oil and a speed sensor fitted fight got real
