Is there nothing like the 'Opel'!! 2.0 L 16 v dirrect bolt on upgrade all those Nova boys use not that I would no anything about Novas or anything!

Can you not fit bigger calipers off say a 5 series or larger and get big 4 stud discs???

i had 288mm from a vectra on mynova, was a straight swap can get 308's aswell with a bracket avail from the dealer lol.

damn bmw making everything so complicated.

a few people have gone for the E34 540i front calipers with machined Audi TT discs

i was looking at doing an E38 750i caliper conversion with Audi TT discs, but im not sure on the clearance

there is plenty of options out there. the ones on that website look really competive, pricewise and performance

That does seem reasonable, i was under the impression that willwood stuff was hugely expensive.

I was talking about these kit's with someone the other day. They are fantstic for the price. and once the discs wear down, The bells will hold another make or two.. There will be a uk supplier soon..

I'm also looking to get some 4 pot calipers in the near future, but after looking at the site I was a little confused by the pricing so I emailed the guy and he was really helpful and promptly responded...

The difference between the race and street set-up is in the thickness or the rotor (and the related thickness of the hat). The ultimate kit is the race kit with 11.75" x 1.25" rotors and forged Superlite calipers. They work great with Team Dynamic Pro Race 1 wheels, which happen to be made in the UK and are quite cheap.
Forget about any brake upgrade behind those BBS wheels.

I currently have several kits being ran in the UK. They bought the installation kit from Massive (hats, brackets, fasteners, brakelines) and got the rotors and calipers from RallyeDesign. I will not ship heavy rotors to outside North America as they are just too bulky. Nonetheless I will supply you with all the parts numbers. In a very close future I intend to make Rallye Design my official UK supplier for Wilwood parts.

The race installation package is $500usd + $105 for shipping. Expect to pay around $410usd for Wilwood caliper/rotors in the US, slightly more in the UK.

The kit comes in two parts. The street kit, near enough 300mm and with the superlite 4 pots works out at about £450.

Not once you add the shipping, VAT and import duty it's not!

If you're unlucky you can get an "admin fee" and even a "handling / warehouse fee" for time sitting on a shelf at the dock / airport (charged by the day) but this is rare.

Bit sad they regard the 15" BBS as something to be "forgotten", it's the best "handling" wheel for entry level track and race E30s.....

The Audi A4 1.8 Turbo discs are 288mm x 25mm and fit under the BBS wheels, there 65mm in the centre so have to be machined out to 66mm to fit the hub and drilled to the 4 bolt pattern.

just been reading a translated version of 300mm.de... i reckon i could get away with just buying there discs and claiper carrier adaptors and then doing a couple of moody warranty claims on some brake calipers on a car at work!!

I'm thinking of using the standard 7 series calipers (22mm) and just shaving a bit off the outside caliper carrier so the disc will fit inside, and 1.5mm off the new pads.
Not sure of anything yet as i'm still waiting to get the discs back. If it don't work i'll bite the bullet and part with £100 for the M5 (28mm) calipers i've been offered.
Don't realy want to do that though because i'm not sure they will clear the wheel and i still need to know how much the brackets are going to cost to get made.
Anyone know anywhere cheap to get them made ?

i wouldnt know where to get brackets made. if you're technically minded, you could knock 'em up yourself using 18mm steel or something like that?

i've already offered a set of ally arms from an e46 up, and they are just a little too long!!! gutted!!!

from the centre ball joint to the outer ball joint, where it locates into the hub. and i think they might have been too long at the rear too

literally only picked it up, positioned it, and thought "nah, wont work!"

but you never know!!

but you would have some disgusting amount of -ve camber

regarding the piston sizes, i dont know as of yet, but i might be able to find out
