Not quite sure what you mean by an 'upgrade'. All the strut has to do is to hold the bonnet open, which the standard one does quite adequately, if in good condition, except when asked to do so in the teeth of a gale.
The standard one is 350N if you want to search for a stronger one, but that should be strong enough.
