Basically the front end was about as solid as a crisp packet. I bought the car for I purchased a M3 last year with the intention of building something with 350 BHP per ton......
After looking at many a rotbox offered for sale for at £8k to £12k and really clean tidy ones up to £22k.
Nearly purchased a nice Maccau but she was too nice to rip apart so i told the guy owned her
"I was going to look for something that needed some TLC......"
I found a Alpineweiss II for £15k looked at it a couple of times and walked away.
I finally got so p*ssed off looking at other cars and getting messed about by some total lemons, disturbing hpi checks etc....
I went back to do a deal with the trader got some reddies out in front of him we shook hands at £11k for the Alpineweiss II.
First impressions were good the car had some nice bits and some bad bits. She drove really well compared to some of the others i drove but not for long.....

95% OF EVERYTHING WORKED
FULLY POLYBUSHED

EVO 2 PAINTED ENGINE
FULL MILLTEK STAILESS EXHAUST
BAD BITS
STICKING CLUTCH SLAVE
SCABBY ROOF PANEL
DASH BULBS DIM AND BLOWN
PASSENGER DOOR HAD SOME RUST BUBBLES WHERE IT HAD BEEN REPLACED WITH A NON M3 DOOR
SUNROOF WORKED INTERMITTENTLY
SOME DENTS AND NOT PERFECT REPAIRS..........
CRACKED PASSENGER WING MIRROR HOUSING
OH A FRONT END REPAIRED BY SOME ISOPON EXPERT........
Basically the car had been pulled back into measurement and cheated with a truck load of sealer, filler and paint.
Cracks started to appear behind the drivers turret and flitch panel so after some investigation we decided a little nip and tuck was required!
Turned out to be a face transplant OH DEAR.......
A lot of wire wheels to remove paint and a small amount of filler and sealer i got a bit down and thought oh well time to chuck in the scrap yard and break it!
The damage was to to the front passenger turret, firewall, passenger cill
The donut who repaired the car previously over pulled the front chassis rails and stressed the sheet metal in the firewall and floor pans leading to some rot starting........
So drastic measures were called for!
Please note all E30 M3s' are loved and maintained regardless of cost...........
