Whilst researching finishes for my motorbike exhaust I came across high temp powder coating. Looks like this and withstands 600 degrees

Google will find someone local but it is pretty specialist. I was quoted something like £400-450 for my BTB3, it can wait for now and go on the to do list one winter.

If you are looking into ceramic coating, check out Zircotec. But don't bother with white (if you are into that), pay the extra and get it coloured silver or black. A friend went for white on his Evo and he said by the time it was installed it looked like shit due to hand prints.

My mate is part of the team building the Norton TT bike and he is super impressed by it

High temp paint it is then. Ceramic coating on a standard engine and manifold is probably a bit OTT as you're only doing it for the bling factor.

It is indeed. He sends me video's of the dyno runs and it sounds bonkers! GPS controlled suspension and £15k worth of Cosworth ECU are some of the many cool things on the bike

Shouldn't be expensive as it's a simple enough job for a local machine shop. If you don't do it chances are you'll have a leak!

Work your way down to fine valve grinding paste and you'll be able to ditch the gasket!

tried everywhere today to get it re faced, but couldnt find anywhere, 1 place most places i rang said, is away until next week, 1 other place said he might be able to but will have to look at it to see if he can bolt it down, said hel be there after 1.30pm, i got there after a 25 min drive and no sign of the f**ker, no answer to the phone, i felt like burning the place down !!

il see tomorrow if it has to go on or not, although the face seems ok and sits flush

but gave it a paint up anyway came out nice
