No Malcolm, his were both sub 200km iirc. These appear to be very nice cars, whether they are / were 160k worth who knows. This dealer is well known for declaring cars sold when they have not been so I would not be suprised if the cars come up for sale individually in the near future.
Interesting times in the classic car market at the moment, I am not sure where it is all going but similar 'booms' have occurred before and ended badly, for the 'investors' if not the real enthusiasts that aspire to own a now rapidly appreciating classic.

I was thinking of selling up next year, is it best to hold out or bail whilst they're riding high ?pacerpete wrote: Interesting times in the classic car market at the moment, I am not sure where it is all going but similar 'booms' have occurred before and ended badly, for the 'investors' if not the real enthusiasts that aspire to own a now rapidly appreciating classic.

Sport evo are going for serious £££
exactly, but how long for?
they way way beyond the reach on normal enthusiasts and i'm not convinced there are enough minted collectors to keep the prices sky high forever.
i'm certainly no expert, and probably completely wrong
still wish i'd bought one when they were £10k

Lots of minted and not so minted types tried that in the late 80s, it ended very badly and some cars have only recently surpassed the mad prices they were selling at back then.

...my mate (who knows nothing about cars and definitely didn't have the $) narrowly avoided having to buy one of these turds back in the day (he sold the option on at the last minute)pacerpete wrote:mabz wrote:minted people are investing in classics instead of money in the bank as rates are so poor, just some chinese whispers i heard somewhere

A friend of a friend offered 4Star £120k for the pair and they turned it down.

"The Captain" will dispose of them as quickly as possible with whatever means necessary, for one reason only....Kedge wrote:And hope the captain doesn't automatically send them China.DanThe wrote:Best get them all on a boat or two thenRodderz wrote:It is HK and the emerging markets that are pushing the price of sought after cars up.. well, that, and the rich getting richer!
