m50 convertion

im thinking about swapping out my old 1.6 lump for an m50 either a 2.5 or a 2,8, after reading the wiki i know i need an e34 sump and ill proberly leave it married to a e36 gearbox but what mounts will i neeed to sit it all in there? (does it depoend on what e36 box?)and what gearbox cross member can i use?

next issue is a prop, as far as i understood the wiki i can cut and shunt a prop together from the e30 and e36 props, do i need a a e30 325 prop or will my 316 one do?

being a 316 ill do a disc convertion on the rear, as for the fronts are standard 325 brakes enough? with braided lines? or is there another alternative? going to get GAZ coilovers for it with correct weight springs.

it will all be insured properly before someone says lol

if your using an e36 box you will need a long ratio medium case dif like a 3.15 or less

you need e36 engine arms and e28 m535i engine mounts [ecp]

you can use an m40 box with 320i prop and gear linkage or a 318is box with 325i prop with any e30 diff you like

0-60 is 14.6 down york drag strip .

If i was you id stick with e36 box , go m52b28 , 2.8 box ,2.8 prop ,fook E28 mounts make some using box section and a hockey puck there much better in my opinion , diff well a 3.64 tops out at 130mph ish but gets there quick leaving e36/46 m3s behind ya or for abit of economy go for a lower ratio ;)
