Washed it for the first time in about 4 weeks.
Went back later to move it into the garage and noticed a note on the windsceen. A neighbour had reversed into it.
At least they done the decent thing and left their details (had a few incidents in the past where people haven't!) so a trip to the bodyshop awaits.

Removed resealed and refitted a leaky pas pump, bled the pas system. Fitted a z3 short shifter and relocated the battery to the boot. Five hours all in.

Well, an hour's elbow grease with Autoglym's Paint Renovator and Super Resin Polish has improved things. All traces of Navy Blue Fiat Punto paint removed! A couple of dents remain in the otherwise perfect coachwork but an improvement made nevertheless.

Drove it to WWAAAYYYYLLLESSS and back today. Some proper rubbish road surfaces over the border...but I drove it there as a support car (hah, my car breaks more than my mate's) for us track his MX5...awesome day though.
Really want to do more track days but my car doesn't allow for them (cab is like the worst car to try and track).

started doing some work on my 36 today, had the old linishing disc on the grinder.... linishing away happily not paying attention fully and BAM! off goes the tip of my finger and finger nail split down the middle... lesson learnt... always pay attention when grinding
What have I become, my sweetest friend...
Everyone I know, goes away in the end...

Same here, although it was my touring and I swapped one knackered M40 for one (hopefully) less knackered M40.
I dropped the sump pan about 8.30am, found some issues, so carried on and pulled the M40 out and decided to fit my spare M40 - good job I did really...

Finished about 9pm this evening, although that did include pulling the shells from the knackered donk to see the damage.

Filled the tank and had a rare chance to drive it. Norfolk country roads, 80F outside, sunroof open, Bob Marley's Jammin' on the radio...not a bad evening!

Tested my electric roof. Greased things up, did a bit of crimping on the tensions straps. All left working and finished. Now to start on the other little niggles that are bugging me

Took it on a day out to Southwold and Aldeburgh. We actually saw 3 other E30s on the road. A Dolphn Grey Baur, a Lazer Blue Touring and a green 2 door saloon. Must be the heat!

Took it to a bodyshop for a quote to repair/replace the rear valance and carry out repairs to the rear panel where the boot floor joins and the rear tubs eaither side.
Unfortunately more than I was expecting so it will have to wait

Maybe until I get the whole car sprayed and get it all done in one hit

e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite

Went for a glorious razz. Lovely car, which really wants to fly

Flickering oil light on dash didn't flicker, but keeping my eye on that!

What gains do the Mondeo drop links give on an E30?

They are a better design, and last longer than the e30 item.
