For the Year, e30s were spot on.

Obviously better rust proofing is one we can all agree on.

Apart from that im struggling. my 318is has done 126000 miles an the interior is mint, nothing is falling of cracked or damaged or loose, every bolt and screw i have untightened so far, in and ou, has been as good as new, no problems at all. working on my mates (piece of crap) peugeot, which is 4 n a bit years old, an there are bolts and screws that we have been sturggling to remove as they have already seized etc. French buld quality ey!

One other minor thing that could have been standard on the sports models should have been an LSD i think, having this as an option was harsh, especially as i now have to invest in one

on standard cars better interior lights, especially in the front, would be no1 priority...
interior trim is poor in quality, really...especially the cloth seat covers and the sports seats are not hardest wearing, in general...

Front lighting is easily cured by a spare bootlamp fitted into the sunroof motor access plate, and a bit of wire fished around from one of the side interior lights.
Interior trim is excelent quality - it's just that most are 15 years old +, and have covered about 150,000 odd miles.You'd have worn through the seat frame in a Ford in that time!

Talking of the OBC, I can't believe that for the extra cost of the 13 button OBC that you could not choose between celcius and farenheit like the allegedly 'poor mans' 6 button OBC, and 12 and 24 hr clocks. I've always got mine on UHR to see the temp in celcius.
Personally I prefer the 6 button like I've got in the M3.

6 button tells the time, gives a temp read out, and beeps at you 10 seconds before the turn of every hour (when selected) to remind you that the news is about to start

beleive this, i got the car on classic insurance , fully comp, live in the worlds worst place to insure a car ( apart from iraq) am 32 yrs old , no no claims as there on my motorbike, 198 quid and this comes with free breakdown cover not bad eh, this is a 4door 325ise it looks like a sport, has all the right bits and 15 in bbs , and here is the best bit bought the car off a guy who never had a clue, just wanted to sell it as he bought a new bmw, it has full bmw history hpi clear, all bills, had it inspected at my bmw dealers and they said it was a fantastic buy at Ԛ£850 yes 850 quid , i snapped it up , never looked back , recentley been offered 2 k for it but turned it down as its quite rare to have all this spec on an e30 esp ,4 door factory mtec kit and air con,

20 years ago, nobody in the UK knew what temps in Celsius were. Besides the resolution on the Farenheit scale is almost twice that what it is on the Celcius.

adrain flux, peter best, (mine) have a look in the back of any e30 mags, there all in there, mines on a 5000, mile a year policy, so it suits me fine as i do all the miles on me motorbike, try it mate you may be well surprised, most classi ins companys dont go on no claims,
