Not likely to get one for while (I'm just too young to get insured on one), but was just wondering are they all left hookers? Or are there any RHDs about?

This one was for sale on here at the end of last year. Converted to RHD.

Exactly, converted, so I'm guessing the fatherland never gave us plucky brits the e30 M3 then....

What they supplied was a true legend of a car, but only LHD.

You're not wrong there! It's a thing of beauty! I'm not saying there's any problem with LHD it doesn't really make much of a difference to me really, was just wondering...

That one was a weapon.
Usually converted using 325i steering rack.
Just not the same.

any RHD M3's are converted away from the factory and in most cases are down on power.
I think it was Birds UK that did the conversions.
The Uk did receive and handful of the cars but were supplied obviously as LHD only

legendary car and owning one I feel more at home with lhd than rhd
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!

BMW didn't produce a RHD version because the rack would have to go through the exhaust manifold and would have cut power from the engine, by having to modify same. The RHD conversions use a 325i rack which is slower than the original rack

Another theory is that they only really required to build 5000 to comply with GPA homologation rules and did not expect the M3 to be so successful as a road going version.
