Hi

I was told to upgrade my throttle body on my sport. Any recommendations on doing this?

Thanks

What makes you think that the one BMW fitted is deficient in any way?

Slightly better throttle response.

On its own it will barley give any extra power.

It will only do anything noticeable if the engine is modified in other ways to increase the required airflow through it, such as a capacity increase or a longer duration/higher lift cam, etc.

I have a 325i with a btb six branch exhaust manifold and a BBR star chip.

I fitted a bigger bore throttle body and there was a noticeable change in throttle response.

The most comparable thing to it is when you press the 'sport' button in a later BMW M car with a fly by wire throttle such as an E46 M3 or E39 M5 and you notice the change in throttle.

I agree with Barry, the throttle response is quite noticeable. Bizarrely I also got a couple of MPG extra from doing this. The engine also has a slightly more raspier note to it.
