edit: after a prod around the usual tyre sites, the KU39 is getting good ratings but the Hankook Evo K110 seems to be getting even better ratings and is quieter by 6dB. I'm not normally a brand snob, but can I fit a tyre called Hankook?? Kumho was bad enough but at least they had an E30 race series.
I was under the impression that Hankook were quite well known. I've always thought of them as a decent midrange brand, certainly equal to Kumho, Toyo etc.
I've just stuck a set of Hankook I*Cept Evo winter tyres on my E36 328i touring. V impressed so far.

George, these used on your recent holiday?
Used these all over the place - daily slog down the motorway, up in the snowy Scottish Highlands, Monaco and the Italian Lakes etc.
Genuinely impressed, they cope with all conditions very well imo.
