im not sure mate my first call would be drain the gearbox oil and clutch fluid top up bleed it back up and see where you are.

the slave cylinders go quite regular and start to cause selector problems or completely fail.

other than that its maybe a worn clutch/release bearing or pressure plate issue but i would try my first suggestion as its the easiest

might not be any oil in the gearbox so its always a good idea to give it some tlc can really bring a box back to life again as so many people over look diff and gearbox fluid.

With it hot raise the car and watch the clutch hose while someone presses the pedal. The hose could be soft and ballooning when hot under pressure. Likewise, bleed the clutch cylinder, and air in there will expand when hot and make things worse.
cheers,

harry

With the car safely supported so that you can slide under it,on the o/s of the gearbox is a filler/level plug.Remove this and shove some oil in until it runs out.....

If it's the same as my e36 it's on the left side of the box if you stand under the car looking towards the front
