agreed, certain cars do have a distinctive smell - all my Mk2 Golfs have smelt the same in a perculiar way, although it is generally damp!
Old cars are like old people - they leak and they smell!BruceVeedub wrote:agreed, certain cars do have a distinctive smell - all my Mk2 Golfs have smelt the same in a perculiar way, although it is generally damp!
In my experience all BMWs have a faint petrol smell, I always thought there was a tank breather or something somewhere that let the faintest whiff in. Either that or by now they've all had some sort of petrol leak in their time, or currently have one!!
My daily drive smells of gliptone though

Mine smells like a new car again
I've left some white spirit and paint in it, as well as various glues and sealants, for a week or so
